• Create a file structure under user as follows
A folder labelled with your name and within this folder create 3
folders labelled Home, Work and Study
• Configure the operating system to perform the following:
• back-up procedures
• automatic scheduling and deletion of unwanted data
• archiving
• defragmentation
• deleting temporary files
• Cleaning keyboard, mouse, display screen of the computer provided
• replacing consumables printer paper in the printer provided
• replacing the damaged mouse

He went on folder library
and right clicked and clicked new folder and then created 2 new folders and
named them work and study. Thomas was
then able to configure the operating system so then he could perform back up
procedures and automatic scheduling and then delete the unwanted data. he
found replacing the paper in the printer quite easy and put right amount in
and then put the paper in horizontally in the right slot. By finding a
functioning mouse he replaced the damaged one for one that was suitable for
easy use.

A standalone computer was
set up in IV6.
The listed system changes
were made under supervision.
He changed the icon size to
large by right clicking in what he wanted to change then clicking the personalise
button to do this. He then did the same for changing the font size. Once he
had done both of these changes he then changed the background colour to red
by clicking start and going onto control panel and then change background.

Ryan was very calm when
doing the first three task and he plugged each thing into to the right ports
and then checked to see if they all worked by simply turning on the computer
. Then when he opened up the computer he found the graphics card and even to
us he could demonstrate where the card is installed. He used the laptop next
and created a new user account and then successfully installed MS office
2003, MS security essentials. I observed him when he configured the
documents, application software and system software. He
