Communication styles
Verbal communication= verbal communication is when people interact using their voice this can be done either face to face or over a mobile device. This is very effective as it it allows you to get a clear point across to someone and you can take direct feedback which is good as they can clarify there point more than they could over either texts of emails. i used verbal communication to interact with my teacher so he could tell me weather my work was completed or still needed to be added to, it also allows me to interact with my class mates and to either receive or give out praise or criticism

Broadcasting the teacher can broadcast useful projections on to the monitor to either show examples of how to do things or documents. This is very useful as it allows the teacher to show the whole class so they can see what he/she is doing right in front of them broadcasting is a good example of visual learning. this was useful to me as the teacher could broadcast to us to show us how to do things and how things work.

Blogger= blogger is an online blogging service which was very useful to me as it allowed me to share my work online so either my teacher or classmates can see it and give praise or criticism where due. It is also very useful as it gives me an online back up if any of my documents or work goes missing. Another useful aspect of blogger is that I can make my teacher a author on my site.

Gmail= Gmail is a online email service provided by Google.  Gmail was useful to me as it allowed me to send quick emails that can now be received by people on the move as it is now available on most mobile devices and tablets. Gmail allows my teachers to send me emails of confirmation if a task has been achieved or emails to let me know if a task needs to be improved or is overdue

PowerPoint = PowerPoint is a presentation programme made by Microsoft and is available to everyone at a cost. PowerPoint is a great program for making simple but effective presentations it also allows you to create simple graphics and animations. It was useful to me it allowed me to save presentations as a jpeg which is efficient as it allows them to be uploaded to a smaller size and available to view on more devises.

Google calendar = Google calendar is an online calendar service which is extremely useful especially for me doing a personal development plan as it sends an email to me informing me on my task is this day to complete.

Print screen= is when you hit the print scrn button it takes a screen shot of the whole screen,  using a print screen was very useful as it allows me to give effective tutorials in my dummies guide. i also used it demonste that i had done tasks

m3 learning styles

Learning styles
Here are the three main learning styles visual, kinaesthetic and auditory I will explain how they are used.

 Visual styles
This is a learning style which ideas, concepts, data and other information are associated with images and techniques. It is one of the three basic types of learning styles used worldwide. Visual learners are those who learn things best through seeing them. Visual learning students like to keep an eye on the teacher by sitting in the front of the class and watching the lecture closely. Often, visual learners will find that information "clicks" when it is explained with the aid of a chart or picture. Visual styles is the main one i tend to use because observing how to do it my self and then having a go at doing it then repeating this progress gets me to reach my targets of objectives i have set myself to learn. Personally seeing something in front of me simplifies the task in hand and i can complete work easier if i use this method and it has been a very big help in my training i have recently done in my IT lessons.

 Kinaesthetic styles
Learning styles such as this in which learning takes place by the student carrying out a physical activity, rather than listening to a lecture or watching a demonstration. People with a kinaesthetic learning style are also commonly known as "do-ers". Tactile-kinaesthetic learners make up about five per cent of the population. Tactile learners like to experience the world and act out events. To remember a phone number, tactile learners may remember the pattern of their fingers as the press the numbers. Tactile learners can remember complicated directions once they've acted them out. kinaesthetic learning is good for somethings for me like graphics photoshop i would play about with the tools and find out what each one does and sort of teach myself how to work the certain programme i am using.

 Auditory styles
Auditory learning is a learning style in which a person learns through listening. An auditory learner depends on hearing and speaking as a main way of learning.[1] Auditory learners must be able to hear what is being said in order to understand and may have difficulty with instructions that are written. They also use their listening and repeating skills to sort through the information that is sent to them. Auditory learners are those who learn best through hearing things. They may struggle to understand a chapter they've read, but then experience a full understanding as they listen to the class lecture. Auditory learners may have a knack for ascertaining the true meaning of someone's words by listening to audible signals like changes in tone. When memorizing a phone number, an auditory learner will say it out loud and then remember how it sounded to recall it. When the teacher i have is an effective communicator then auditory is helpful and i take in what the teacher i have at the present time is saying and i am engaged through the lesson and i can learn from this but not as regular as other ways.

barriers to effective communication

Office barriers like being in a big office you have to speak louder to communicate with your listener which is a distance away. this also occurs with separators if there is something in your way such as a door then you really have to shout to get the right effect then background noise such as being next to a main road it is hard to communicate even with the person next to you and then harder for you to listen you can still communicate by using gestures to get your point across
Language barriers can be two kinds, accent barriers is when if something has a different accent and they can be difficult to understand because of this but they know the English language but then it can get really difficult when the person can not speak much English at all this can occur when you go abroad and you have to communicate with the locals. Then on to emotional barriers if someone is generally a shy person and they cant get their ideas across this could happen in an interview or even just meeting someone for the first time.
ways to over come language barriers is to have some like a translator there to translate to each speaker what the other one is saying this could occur when you are interviewing or being interview for maybe a foreign company and other ways to over come the emotional barriers is to speak to the person in their own environment such as there home or somewhere that feels comfortable to them back ground noise is easier to avoid just by going to somewhere quieter to talk like a quiet room or avoid main roads if you are trying to communicate properly. and over coming office barriers can be dealt with an inside line just by having a code on the telephone to call someone on the other side of the office. most barriers can always be dealt with you have just got to find out how.

principles of effective communication

This slide focusing on the prospects of communication and the principles including some of the barriers.

A general principle of speaking is modulating your voice. You can modulate your voice by changing the pitch up and down because if the pitch is consistent then your audiences opinions could be that what they are experiencing is dull and boring. And they wont take much from what you have said a good example is when a teacher asks a question they raise the pitch near the end of a sentence and this proposes a question. Eye contact can be helpful when you are in an interview and if you keep eye contact it shows that you interested in what they are saying to you and then they know that your listening or addressing them. Having enthusiasm in a subject is a great way of also engaging your audience because if you are engaged ( enthusiastic ) then the audience are more likely to listen and be engaged.

Emoticons are used usually in text messages along with smileys and these are types of informal pieces of text such as text message or little notes to friends. Then correct spelling is used with the write grammar and punctuation and these are formal pieces of text which are used in newspapers, letters, essays etc.

Active listening is great to be able to do because if your focusing and concentrating on everything that is going on around you then your body language will show that like if your watching a presentation and your looking and observing and taking in what the speaker is saying then then you could ask questions about the presentation and then your body language when asking the question could show that your active by the way you ask it.

If you are casually speaking to someone or even formally and they have an accent then they are quite difficult to understand sometimes this is a language barrier but then background noise even if the speaker is English and has an English accent if there is a lot of noise then they may become hard to understand this is still a communication barrier because it is almost preventing you from understanding it
